Garage Sales and California!

Not too much is new in the Armstrong household. But here's a small update.
April 29th- May2nd our family will be traveling to Malibu, CA for my little brother's graduation from Pepperdine! I'm super excited for my brother and everything but i'm even more super excited to be getting away for a while! PLUS it will be Hannah's first real road trip and flight! Hopefully that all goes well (fingers crossed) If she is anything like her dad, Hannah wont like flying at all... but i hope she's more like me when it comes to travel! ANyway, So to raise a little bit of money (more for the reason of getting rid of a LOT of junk we've already accumilated in the 3 years we've been married) we are having a garage sale this saturday. We're hoping ot make some money for the trip, but more important we just want to get rid of all the junk! So we may be giving some of it for free :). Getting ready for the garage sale hasn't been to bad, but i'm already ready for it to be done with.
Hannah is growing like a little weed! She has some outfits taht i just had her wearing last week and when i tried to put them on her this week they were so stinkin tight!! I want to yell "slow down girl!" But i realize that's just how it is! She's starting to babble on alot and the sounds that come out of her mouth are ridiculously cute. AND her hair is starting to really come in! I used to joke around with her a lot and tell her she was my "little old man" because she was bald on top but had a lot of hair on the sides. But now, the top of her head is really growing in some thick short hairs! She's already got so much personality in her. I really can't wait until she starts saying words. The biggest thing i'm learning with Hannah is being a mommy takes a LOT of patience and love. In fact, being a parent period isn't a breeze. Whenever i talk about our "next baby", Travis replies, "What next baby?" He's a funny one! Needless to say, she's the one that runs our lives these days. We do what she wants when she wants to! :) I respect my mom so much more now that i have little Hannah. Mom, if you're reading this, thank you for everything! :)

Travis is working a lot. He has two jobs and probably only has 4 days (if that) off in a whole month. It makes me feel really bad for him, but i guess we both agree that it's really important for me to stay home with Hannah. I love staying home with Hannah and i really feel it's a necessity for our family, I just wish Travis didn't have to work so hard. When he's not working, he's helping me take care of and raise our baby girl AND cleaning the mess Hannah and I make. I try to clean during the day while he's working, but Hannah pretty much takes up a lot of my free time. He's a rock star and Hannah and I appreciate all of his work!
I'm just busy being a new mommy. That's it. That's my life! I have learned so much about parenting and babies, but i also know it's just the beginning. There is so much more i need to learn and that i don't know. Everyday, Hannah teaches me something new! I can't believe that she will be 3 months old this month. OH! and I am currently trying to get back into shape and loose all my pregnancy weight. I lost 2lbs this week! I was having a difficult time loosing weight at first so 2 lbs to me is awesome! I only have about 27 more lbs to loose to get to my goal weight! Once i get the ball rolling and start seeing results, I love dieting and eating healthy. It's almost like a game to me!
So that's us. Pretty simple and plain.
Hope everything is going well in your neck of the woods!

With love,
Jen
